Your Inbox
Updated September 1, 2026
The Inbox is your workspace's shared view of every direct conversation with a contact — the same threads you see on a lead's Messages tab, gathered in one place for the whole team.
Conversations, not just emails
Each contact has one open conversation per channel. Today that channel is email; as you connect messaging extensions, new channels appear here automatically with a channel filter — nothing else about the Inbox changes.
Read state is yours alone
Unread marks are personal. Opening a thread clears it for you and no one else, so a teammate can't accidentally "read" your queue. The Inbox badge in the sidebar counts open conversations that are unread for you. Your own sent messages never show as unread to you.
Working the queue
- Filters — All, Unread, Assigned to me, and Closed. One search box finds conversations by contact name or address.
- Assign — hand a conversation to a teammate (they're notified with a direct link) or grab it with Assign to me. Assigning to yourself doesn't ping you.
- Close and reopen — close a conversation when it's done. If the contact writes again, it reopens automatically in the same thread, so nothing slips by silently.
- New message — start a conversation from the Inbox: pick a contact, write, send. If the contact already has an open thread on that channel, your message joins it instead of starting a duplicate.
When you can't send
If sending is blocked — the contact unsubscribed, the address is suppressed, or a channel needs consent or isn't connected — the composer says so in plain words before the message goes anywhere. Replies to your own leads keep working during a trial, even after marketing sends pause.
